Clax

Majak

While the translations of Clax and Majak are ‘take’ and ‘give’, they’re not meant to be taken literally. Think of it more like output and input or attack and defense. The markings appear as a faint, barely noticeable scar-like design on the bottoms of wrists which spell out ‘Majak’ and ‘Clax’ in the Draconic Script, before the initiation. Once the new initiate accepts their responsibilities by pressing their given Montu to the name of the protecting Zezhuanth (usually appearing on the back of the shoulder - which shoulder is determined by whether they are closer to Clax or Majak) they will come into full view- almost like black tattoos.
Once the initiate has become more known and has proven themselves worthy (usually by fighting, but also by learning the Draconic language), they are granted a Tonopara. They are given an egg - about the size of a football - to take care of. It hatches within 2-4 weeks. This Tonopara looks like a small version of the dragon that is the Satr’s protecting Zezhuanth, growing no taller than ⅔ of the Satr’s height.
This Tonopara ‘connects’ or ‘bonds’ strongly to its person, not wanting to go far from them and acting on every command given. They only understand commands given to them in Draconic, but there have been cases of them learning a few words in their Satr’s language - a show of just how strong the bonds can be.
The markings and Tonopara are visible to humans, who are unaware of this otherworldly phenomenon. The Tonopara, upon being asked, can disguise themselves as any animal they wish. Some humans have been known to see through the illusion though, so most pairs just keep the Tonopara out of sight entirely.
